2007 Feb ‘My Mountain’ Director 37mins
Social documentary/road movie, up the welsh valleys and back in time,
researching family history and incorporating my grandmothers oral testimonies.

2006 ‘ ANKOR’ was my M.A piece,
I produced it while studying Television Production at University College Falmouth.

The central female character is a fishwife waiting restlessly for her love to return safely from danger.
I used Archive footage and old photographs to denote both the passing of time and
to emphasise the 'timelessness' of this situation for women.

The song was translated into Cornish language by the poet Pol Hodge and I sang in English and Cornish
using subtitles in both languages so that the written language could be seen as well as heard.

Screenings;
2006 Cornwall Film Festival; Selected student film

2002 Produced and recorded an album;'Anchor'containing 14 original songs.

2002 ‘Cowboy Blues’ This was the first 'real' music video I made.

By 'real'I mean where I held the concept of a music video in mind and created the story for the song.
I was conscious of portraying the central female character in a realistic role as opposed to a sexualised presentation.
Most music videos after all, are still made by men even when the songs are written by women.

Screenings;
2003 Shown at Truro College open day
2004 Shown at Cornwall Film Festival

1994 ‘Strawberry-salt-Cream’ Performance Art.

This video shows me performing on Gyllyngvase Beach in 1994, it was a silent film shot on Super8 film by Mary Anson.
I later applied the colour effects in a VHS edit and rendered out in an early digital file, hence the poor quality.
Ten years later I synced up the image to my original song;‘Bitter Tears’ finalising it into a music video in 2004.

1994 ‘Dream-Director’ is a 3min Super8 Animation made whilst studying Visual and Performing Arts (Theatre) at Brighton University.
It shows a series of 3 paintings on the same theme, repeatedly overlayed. It was used as stage scenery in my B.A Performance.
The video wasn't finalised until 2004, when I set the silent film piece to my original song; Time will Tell.

The film has asumed this song title and is now composed of two Super8 films, shot 5 years apart.
The second film was shot at a solo painting exhibition; 'Resolutions' which consisted of a complete Artwork
collection called 'The Merbirds Metaphorphase Museum' shown at the Poly, Falmouth in Jan 1999.
